Kitchen, Dining & Lounge Renovation
550 Square Feet
Langley, BC
Having designed and built their Langley home years ago, our clients had a deep connection to the character and craftsmanship of the original space. While many of the home's existing features remain relevant and meaningful, they felt the main living spaces were ready for an update. The kitchen in particular feels closed off from the surrounding living spaces. The goal is to refresh these connected spaces while preserving the warmth and familiarity that made the house feel like home.

Before

Design Direction
The existing kitchen has a traditional style with classic cabinetry, crown moulding, and dark stone surfaces. Rather than completely reinventing the space, the design focused on building upon these foundations with a warmer, more cohesive palette, improved functionality, and a more connected relationship between the kitchen and dining areas.
By improving sightlines and creating a stronger material connection between the kitchen and adjacent living spaces, the design brings a greater sense of openness and cohesion to the main floor. The result is a kitchen that feels more spacious, inviting, and integrated into daily life, while remaining true to the character of the original home.
